In addition to the equipment for the control and monitoring of the plants and periodic instrument calibrations, the MultiphaseLab has the following hardware and software resources:
- absolute and differential pressure transducers;
- capacitance sensors for volume-averaged in situ phase fractions measurement (under development);
- contact thermometer, thermocouples and microthermocouples;
- digital single lens reflex camera with macro lens;
- electric heater with PID control;
- high accuracy metering pump and precision syringes;
- lights up to 800 W con diffuser;
- multi-tip impedance local probes (under development);
- optical and impedance local probes for phase density sampling;
- pentaprisms for the simultaneous display of objects from multiple directions;
- quick-closing valves for the measurement of volume-averaged in situ phase fractions;
- roughness and profile analyser with measuring range from 1 um to 1 mm;
